5. Organize a Neighborhood Trick or Treat- If you're not crazy about the idea of your kids knocking on unsuspecting stranger's doors and asking for candy, then organize a trick or treat route in your neighborhood that is pre-planned. Talk with all the neighbors on your block and find out who wants to participate. Give them a pumpkin cut out or similar for their door to mark that they are a "Trick or Treat" friendly home. In return, they can come Trick or Treating at your house and all other houses that are "in". Just be sure to keep one parent home to pass out the candy! I've noticed a few 'Halloween in (*enter suburb*)' Facebook pages, so this may be another way to find fellow Trick or Treaters in your area.
